Baseball Recap: Central Woodstock Takes a Loss

Central Woodstock came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-3 to the Strasburg Rams. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost three in a row.

Central Woodstock saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Bushong, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Central Woodstock's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 8-5. As for Strasburg, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Coming up, Central Woodstock will take on Page County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Strasburg, they will challenge Moorefield at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
