Football Game Preview: Nova Titans vs. Blanche Ely Tigers

The Nova Titans will face off against the Blanche Ely Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Nova's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Blanche Ely has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Nova's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hollywood Hills 34-0. Considering the Titans have won four contests by more than 24 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Dezrihana Medina, who rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 132 yards and two touchdowns.

Nova didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Niani Bolden picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. She got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Blanche Ely's offense. They were dealt a 28-0 defeat at the hands of Boyd Anderson on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Cobras are ranked 49th).

Blanche Ely's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Nova, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Nova skirted past Blanche Ely 15-13 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Does Nova have another victory up their sleeve, or will Blanche Ely turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
