Logan/Palco took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They secured a 33-29 W over the Western Plains Bobcats. The victory was some much needed relief for Logan/Palco as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Lylah Voss was nothing short of spectacular: she dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in field goal percentage (79%).

Logan/Palco was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Western Plains only posted five.

Western Plains lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaelyn Spangler, who posted eight points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals. Spangler has been hot , having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Kalihan Flax was another key player, earning six points in addition to four steals.

Logan/Palco will square off against Rawlins County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western Plains, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Western Plains Bobcats challenge the Cheylin Cougars on Tuesday.
