Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Columbia). They were the clear victors by a 21-7 margin over the Bolles Bulldogs on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Columbia let Sakiya Merriex and Luisa Taylor run wild. Merriex went 4-for-6 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles, while Taylor went 3-for-5 with four runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits Taylor has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Emily Delgado, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.

The victory snapped Columbia's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-10 record. As for Bolles, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-16.

Columbia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bolles, they will challenge Providence School at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
