Baseball Recap: Leflore County Takes a Loss

Leflore County lost against North Side last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers lost 18-8 to the Gators. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maurice Edwards and Tyler Davis stepped up to the plate in a big way. Edwards scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3, while Davis scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. Edwards is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played.

Leflore County's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for North Side, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Leflore County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Side, they will square off against Edwards at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
