Baseball Recap: Great Bridge Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Great Bridge never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Oscar Smith on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Tigers a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Wildcats have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cole Cinnamomd was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Adam Bartley was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Great Bridge pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Oscar Smith, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Great Bridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oscar Smith, they will take on Green Run at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Tigers are facing the Stallions at the right time seeing as the Stallions are stuck on an 18-game losing streak.
