Volleyball Recap: Penn Cambria Falls Despite Big Games from Katie Marana and Madelyn Kittell + How To Watch

Penn Cambria lost against Richland last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers fell just short of the Rams by a score of 3-2.

Penn Cambria took Richland into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-27, 15-13.

Penn Cambria's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Madelyn Kittell, who had 36 assists, and Katie Marana, who had eight digs. Kittell is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 32 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Penn Cambria's loss dropped their record down to 9-6-1. As for Richland, their victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-2-2.

Penn Cambria and Richland should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Panthers (ranked 69th) will meet Greater Johnstown (ranked 263rd) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Richland will take on Bishop Carroll at 6:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (13 vs. 150).
