Softball Recap: Bloomfield Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Pius X, Bloomfield was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bobcats have posted since April 12, 2025.

Craygen Lucero was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Harley Rightmire, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Bloomfield now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Atrisco Heritage Academy, their record now sits at 3-5.

Looking ahead, Bloomfield will take on Santa Fe at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Demons have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Atrisco Heritage Academy, they will face off against St. Pius X at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
