Basketball Recap: Tioga Finds Home Court Redemption Against Avoyelles Charter

There's no place like home for Tioga, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They skirted past the Avoyelles Charter Vikings 58-56. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.

Avoyelles Charter lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jalen Brown, who went 8 for 13 en route to 22 points and five rebounds. Brown's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Armonii Benjamin, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 13 points in addition to seven boards and six assists.

Tioga's victory bumped their record up to 19-10. As for Avoyelles Charter, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-6 record.

Tioga wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 72-34 win against West Ouachita on the 24th. As for Avoyelles Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-45 victory against Glenmora on the 24th.
