Basketball Game Preview: Bear Creek Grizzlies vs. Northwest House

The Bear Creek Grizzlies will challenge the Northwest House at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bear Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.

Last Friday, Bear Creek didn't have too much trouble with Overlake as they won 69-54.

Bear Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Max Beiber led the charge by putting up 15 points. The matchup was Beiber's third in a row with at least ten points. Caleb Branch was another key player, going 6 for 14 on his way to 15 points.

Meanwhile, Northwest ended up a good deal behind South Whidbey on Wednesday and lost 56-40.

Bear Creek's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for Northwest, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Bear Creek strolled past Northwest in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 65-49. Will Bear Creek repeat their success, or does Northwest have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
