Baseball Recap: Downey Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Downey can bid farewell to their ten-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They skirted past the Enochs Eagles 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Eagles on Wednesday, they had to take a 4-2 defeat.

Owen Sacuskie was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Downey's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-18 when he doesn't).

Downey's record is now 7-18. As for Enochs, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-12.
