Basketball Game Preview: St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans vs. Winnebago Indians

The St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans and the Winnebago Indians will round out the year against one another at at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Winnebago took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Joseph-Ogden, who comes in off a win.

St. Joseph-Ogden took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They blew past Beecher, posting a 73-34 win. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Winnebago unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Byron by a score of 55-53.

Winnebago's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Everything went St. Joseph-Ogden's way against Winnebago in their previous meeting back in December of 2018, as St. Joseph-Ogden made off with a 72-49 win. Will St. Joseph-Ogden repeat their success, or does Winnebago have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
