Virginia Academy was sadly handed a defeat on Saturday, but Mike Smith did his best to prevent it. Smith posted eight points in addition to three blocks and four assists, good enough to set a new career-high in assists in the process.

Smith and Virginia Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fredericksburg Christian at 6:00 p.m. on February 18th. The contest will pit Smith up against the Eagles' star guard Noah Caesar. These two stars should make plenty of fireworks, so fans can expect an exciting show. Which one brings home the W?
