Wild Rose extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 16 on Monday, dropping their season record down to 0-8 in the process. They lost 10-0 to the Port Edwards Blackhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blackhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in April.

As for Port Edwards, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-6. Considering they have won six games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
On Port Edwards' side, Max Michels was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Michels has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Port Edwards is undefeated when Michels posts three or more hits, but 5-6 otherwise.
In other batting news, Ayden Schumer was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Collin O'Connor also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
