Volleyball Recap: Hayworth Christian Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Hayworth Christian's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Victory Christian Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-17, 25-12.

Leading Hayworth Christian to victory were Kaitlyn Mullis and Makenna Tate. Mullis hit 69.6% for 17 kills and 16 digs and seven aces, while Tate had seven digs and four aces. That's the most aces Mullis has posted over her last eight games. Kenzi Hardin also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Hayworth Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 21 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive matchups.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Hayworth Christian will take on Legacy Athletics at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Victory Christian will be paying especially close attention to the Knights' contest: after the Knights face off against Cornerstone Christian Academy, they'll take on Victory Christian again at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
