Recap: Animas Panthers vs. Reserve Mountaineers
The Animas Panthers had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 39-33 victory over Reserve on Thursday. The victory was just what Animas needed coming off of a 51-29 loss in their prior matchup.
Animas can attribute much of their success to Cadence Green, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Edelweiss Molinar, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Animas now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Reserve, they dropped their record down to 12-9 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Animas didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-36 loss vs. Quemado on the 20th. Reserve will head out on the road to square off against Mesilla Valley Christian School at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
