Softball Recap: Nine Straight Home Victories for Gillespie

Gillespie got themselves on the board against North Mac on Friday, but North Mac never followed suit. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Panthers. The win continues a trend for the Miners in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won nine in a row.

The team relied heavily on Laci Schuckenbrock, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. Ava Parish was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Gillespie's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for North Mac, their loss dropped their record down to 2-16-1.
