Volleyball Recap: Mayfield Takes a Loss

Mayfield was the 2-1 winner over Villa Angela-St. Joseph when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell 2-0 to the Vikings on Saturday.

TAYLOR SIMMONS paced Mayfield's offense, picking up 12 kills. SIMMONS were helped by LUCIA Parrotta and ANNABEL ROBERTS, who contributed 11 assists each.

Mayfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Villa Angela-St. Joseph, they pushed their record up to 12-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Mayfield will be playing at home against North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Villa Angela-St. Joseph does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
