Soccer Game Preview: West Anchorage vs. Service

West Anchorage is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Service is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Eagles will host the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

West Anchorage is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Bartlett, who was ranked 15th at the time (West Anchorage was ranked 11th). The Eagles were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Golden Bears on Saturday.

West Anchorage hit Bartlett with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emery Bryan, Addyson Worthington, Ruby Kross, and Zuma Thoms.

Meanwhile, Service kept a clean sheet against Eagle River on Saturday. They blew past Wolves 6-0. The result was nothing new for Service, who have now won seven matches by three goals or more so far this season.

West Anchorage is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those five contests. As for Service, their win bumped their record up to 8-3-2.
