Hellgate has gone 9-1 against Flathead recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Hellgate Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Flathead Braves/Bravettes at 4:00 p.m. Hellgate will be strutting in after a win while Flathead will be coming in after a loss.

Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Hellgate beat Glacier 56-52. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 105th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Flathead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a hard 62-46 fall against Sentinel.

Hellgate will need focus on slowing down Lyric Ersland, one of several Flathead players who made an impact when they last played. He went 5 of 11 en route to 15 points and six boards. The matchup was Ersland's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Korbin Eaton was another key player, going 5 for 11 on his way to 12 points.

Flathead's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Hellgate, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Everything came up roses for Hellgate against Flathead in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 65-31 win. Does Hellgate have another victory up their sleeve, or will Flathead turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
