The San Juan Broncos will face off against the North Summit Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as San Juan comes in on three and North Summit on seven.
Last Saturday, San Juan rang in the new year with a 59-48 win over Gunnison Valley.

Tripp Palmer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Duke, who posted eight points and seven rebounds.
San Juan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, North Summit hadn't done well against Millard recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. North Summit blew past Millard 67-28. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season.
San Juan better keep an eye on Jake Smith. He was instrumental in North Summit's win, going 9 of 14 on his way to 21 points and three steals. The game was Smith's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Richins, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 12 points and five assists.
North Summit's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for San Juan, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as San Juan and North Summit are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. San Juan hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 57.1 points per game. However, it's not like North Summit struggles in that department as they've been averaging 61.5 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
San Juan came up short against North Summit in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 60-49. Can San Juan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
