Soccer Recap: Lexington Falls Short of Bennington in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lexington couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bennington Badgers on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Lexington couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Tyler Thorell, who's now up to ten this season.

The defeat snapped Lexington's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 16-5 record. As for Bennington, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 20-1.

Lexington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bennington, they will take on Schuyler at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Schuyler will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something Bennington surely won't give up without a fight.
