Soccer Recap: Lexington Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Lexington and Bennington squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Lexington had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Badgers. Lexington were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bennington apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2022.

Lexington's goal came courtesy of Tyler Thorell, who's now up to ten this season.

The loss snapped Lexington's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 16-5 record. As for Bennington, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 20-1.

Lexington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bennington, they have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Schuyler on the 20th.
