Basketball Recap: Sullivan County Comes Up Short

Sullivan County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-47 heartbreaker at the hands of the Montgomery Red Raiders. The Griffins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Sullivan County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Montgomery, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sullivan County will head out to square off against Muncy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Montgomery, they are taking a road trip to take on Northwest Area at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
