Softball Game Preview: Chinle Wildcats vs. Page Sand Devils

Chinle hasn't had much luck against Page recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Wildcats will welcome the Sand Devils at 3:00 p.m. Chinle has given up an average of 11.4 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Chinle came up short against Ganado on Wednesday, falling 19-2. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Page unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Round Valley by a score of 12-11.

Traidyn Sutherland and Shanelle Tallsalt did some serious damage despite the final result: Sutherland went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Tallsalt went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Naswood, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Page's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Chinle, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Chinle came out on top in a nail-biter against Page when the teams last played on April 1st, sneaking past 7-5. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Sand Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
