Basketball Recap: South Davidson Takes a Loss

South Davidson played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 73-21 defeat at the hands of the Salisbury Hornets. The Wildcats have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, South Davidson still got an impressive performance from Kayra Hulin, who posted 11 points. That was a full 52.4% of South Davidson's points, marking the tenth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Shayna Freeze was another key player, putting up five points.

South Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Salisbury, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season.

South Davidson and Leadership Academy will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Salisbury, they will welcome North Rowan at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
