Recap: Denmark vs. Walton Raiders
Denmark lost to the Walton Raiders back in February, but Denmark didn't allow the Walton Raiders the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Denmark snuck past Walton with a 55-50 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Denmark.
It was another big night for Avery Huffman, who scored 25 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 steals. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Hempker, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Walton still got an impressive performance from Graycen Ehlen, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was Ehlen's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Alice Zhang was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 9 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Walton were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Denmark only pulled down two.
Denmark's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Walton, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Denmark will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Valor Christian at 6:00 p.m. Valor Christian is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. Walton is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Lassiter at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th.
