Metro's top pitcher this week was Sacramento's Kirk Crump. He struck out 13 batters this week.

Burbank made the biggest jump in the standings this week, moving from eighth to fifth place in the league thanks to a 1-1 record over the past seven days. Meanwhile, McClatchy fell hardest in the standings, dropping from fourth all the way to sixth place after going 0-2 in the past week. Rosemont (6-1) is the No. 1 team in the league.

Burbank still lead the league with just 27 base hits given up over the entire season, but Valley gave up the fewest hits in the league over the past week (eight).

Even after stealing 19 bases to lead the league over the past week, the Vikings are still looking up at the Wolverine, which ranks No. 1 in steals, with 30 on the year.

Six batters hit over .400 this week. They were led by T.J. Hicks, who hit .600 this week (6-for-10).

The week's strikeout crown belonged to Crump, who turned in 13 Ks for the Dragons. With 32 strikeouts this year so far, he ranks first in the league.

Highlands's Sukminder Gill struck out 11 Valley hitters en route to an 8-5 victory on March 6. Over five innings of work, he gave up two hits and nine runs.

Martin Escoto drove in four runners on Tuesday in Florin's 13-7 victory over Monterey Trail. He went 2-for-3 and scored one run.
