Baseball Game Preview: Union Farmers vs. Dayton Bulldogs

Union is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Dayton a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Union Farmers will host the Dayton Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Union and Cranford, and Cranford kept the tradition alive. The Farmers lost 14-4 to the Cougars on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Dayton came up short against Union Catholic on Tuesday, falling 10-3.

Dayton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Frank Dasti, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Rich Huber also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Dayton's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Union skirted past Dayton 8-7 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Do the Farmers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
