Softball Recap: Hernando Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Hernando Christian Academy had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 1-9 to make it four. They lost 15-0 to Lakeside Christian. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Lakeside Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-4 on April 2nd.

As for Lakeside Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10. That looming 15-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

For Lakeside Christian's part, Kylee Brown made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Brown was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lex Mello, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Jaci Morris, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Hernando Christian Academy nor Lakeside Christian have any future games scheduled.
