Softball Recap: Eufaula Comes Up Short

Eufaula extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 9-18. They lost 11-0 to the Beulah Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, with their most recent loss being a 10-2 defeat last Monday.

As for Beulah, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-16. That 11-run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

For Beulah's part, Amber Hinkle was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. Those two runs gave Hinkle a new career-high. Bristol Browning was another key player, going 1-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Coming up, Eufaula will face off against Carroll at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.94 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Beulah, they will challenge Lee-Scott Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Bobcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
