Baseball Recap: Pinnacle Takes a Loss

Pinnacle fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Mountain Ridge on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 13-9 to the Mountain Lions. The Pioneers haven't had much luck with the Mountain Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Erik Moo was cooking despite his team's loss, going 4-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Pinnacle is 3-1 when Moo posts one or more home runs, but 6-8-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Sam Green, who went 2-for-5 with one run and one RBI.

Pinnacle's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9-1. As for Mountain Ridge, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-11.

Pinnacle didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-2 win against Apollo on the 12th. As for Mountain Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 11-0 victory against Shadow Ridge on the 11th.
