Volleyball Recap: Male Comes Up Short

Male lost against Assumption back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Rockets, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-11, 25-10.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Assumption to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jillian Bohannnon, who had 23 assists and three aces. Those 23 assists gave Bohannnon a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kathryn O'Toole, who had six digs and three aces.

Male's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Male will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Whitefield Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Assumption, they will be taking part in a tournament against St. Henry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
