Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sacred Heart Academy). They enjoyed a cozy 64-50 victory over The Park School of Buffalo Pioneers on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Sharks also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Sacred Heart Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emilee Bacon, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 18 boards. The dominant performance also gave Bacon a new career-high in steals (four). Another player making a difference was Anna Ratchuk, who went 7 of 13 en route to 18 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Sacred Heart Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amarie Berrios, who went 6 for 9 on her way to 15 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Tasca, who posted nine points and three steals.

Sacred Heart Academy pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for The Park School of Buffalo, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4.

Sacred Heart Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-49 loss against Orchard Park on the 20th. The Park School of Buffalo has also already played their next contest (against Health Sciences Charter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
