Volleyball Recap: Miami East Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Miami East took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Versailles, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Vikings narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Tigers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted since September 12, 2024.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (103-97) Miami East actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 10-25, 25-22, 22-25, 25-19, 15-12.

Whitni Enis paced Miami East's offense, picking up 13 kills. Enis got some help from Kylie Gentis and her 19 assists. Finally, Khalia Lawrence kept Miami East's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.
