Basketball Game Preview: Southwood Cowboys vs. Green Oaks Giants

The Southwood Cowboys and the Green Oaks Giants will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

Last Friday, Southwood didn't have quite enough to beat Green Oaks and fell 51-49.

Eric Fuller put forth a good effort for the losing side as he went 6 for 9 on his way to 18 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Bryson Williams was another key player, putting up six points along with seven assists and five rebounds.

Green Oaks has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Southwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
