Volleyball Recap: Rustburg Comes Up Short

If Rustburg was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Liberty on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Devils lost 3-0 to the Liberty Christian Bulldogs on Thursday. The Red Devils have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-7, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Laney Swan, who had six aces and five digs. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Rustburg's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Liberty Christian, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-5.
