Hampton County waltzed into their game on Friday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They breezed past the Whale Branch Warriors to the tune of 73-37. 73 seems to be a good number for the Hurricanes as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Hampton County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaylen Singletary led the charge by shooting 86% from the field to rack up 16 points and seven steals. Singletary's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacquain Solomon, who went 8-for-12 en route to 24 points.

Hampton County's record now sits at 18-4. As for Whale Branch, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Coming up, Hampton County will face off against Bridges Prep at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hurricanes will be up against the Buccaneers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.93 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Whale Branch, they will take on Barnwell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors are facing the Warhorses at the right time seeing as the Warhorses are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
