South View had won two straight games and Danauje Brooks did her part to make it three on Friday. The South View Tigers blew past the Gray's Creek Bears 65-44 thanks in part to Brooks, who went 13 for 27 en route to 36 points and six rebounds. The game was her 11th in a row with at least 17 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Zakiera Gaillard, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. What's more, she also posted a 80% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in February of 2024.

Gray's Creek lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Layla Fox, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Tatyana Smith was another key player, putting up seven points and nine boards.

South View's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Gray's Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Coming up, South View will challenge Cape Fear at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in South View's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. As for Gray's Creek, they will square off against Jack Britt at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gray's Creek is facing Jack Britt at the right time seeing as Jack Britt is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
