Volleyball Game Preview: Burlingame Panthers vs. Ann Sobrato Bulldogs

The Burlingame Panthers will face off against the Ann Sobrato Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Burlingame will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Burlingame took on Half Moon Bay on Tuesday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 3-0 win.

While Burlingame won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-23, 25-20.

Burlingame's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addie Uhrich led the charge by getting eight digs and four aces. That's the most aces Uhrich has posted since back in September.

Uhrich wasn't the only good servers: Burlingame was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in five consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Ann Sobrato rose to the challenge on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Trailblazers.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-12, 25-14.

Burlingame's victory bumped their record up to 18-13. As for Ann Sobrato, their win bumped their record up to 15-18.
