Soccer Recap: Mexico Comes Up Short

Mexico lost against Hannibal back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Pirates, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Mexico can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while Hannibal are ranked seventh).

This is the second loss in a row for Mexico and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for Hannibal, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Mexico has already played their next game (against Marshall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hannibal, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 5-1 win against Quincy Notre Dame on the 8th.
