Volleyball Recap: Flowing Wells' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

It was a good run, but Flowing Wells unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Marana Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Caballeros of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Daniel Coronado paced Flowing Wells' offense, picking up seven kills. Coronado got some help from Chris Anaya-Ashe and his ten assists. Anaya-Ashe was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Flowing Wells' loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Marana, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flowing Wells will host Cholla at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marana, they will face off against Ironwood Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
