Baseball Recap: Bloomfield Comes Up Short

Bloomfield entered their contest against South Knox on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cardinals fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 4-3. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Bloomfield saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dillon Warnick, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for South Knox, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-9.

Coming up, Bloomfield will take on North Daviess at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The match will give the Cardinals their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for South Knox, they will be playing at home against Pike Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
