This season hasn't been kind to the Edgemont Moguls, who are still winless after their seventh match. They fell 44-37 to Sioux County on Saturday. Edgemont has struggled against Sioux County recently, as their contest on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Moguls players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keaton Darrow, who scored 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of John Heisler, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Edgemont were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Edgemont bumped their record down to 0-7 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.3 points per game. As for Sioux County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-7.
Edgemont will head out on the road to face off against Upton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Upton's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. As for Sioux County, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Arthur County.
