Basketball Recap: DeSoto Comes Up Short

DeSoto entered their game against Lancaster on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The DeSoto Eagles were dealt a 67-30 defeat at the hands of the Lancaster Tigers. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

DeSoto's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-8. As for Lancaster, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-5.

DeSoto and Lancaster should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. DeSoto (ranked 67th) will meet Mesquite (ranked 377th) at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Lancaster will face off against Horn at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 108 places (14 vs. 122).
