Baseball Recap: Centauri Wins Going Away Against Sanford

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rocky Ford, Centauri was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Sanford Mustangs with a sharp 23-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won nine in a row.

The team relied heavily on Parker Buhr, who went 4-for-5 with six RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamryn Garcia, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5.

Centauri was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .483. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .379 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Centauri's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Sanford, they dropped their record down to 2-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Centauri beat the Mustangs by a score of 17-2 later that day.
