Basketball Recap: Mt. Blue Comes Up Short

Mt. Blue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Lawrence Bulldogs and fell 75-29. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Bulldogs are ranked second).

Mt. Blue's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Lawrence, they pushed their record up to 14-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Blue has already played their next match (against Skowhegan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lawrence will take on Cony at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cony will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Lawrence surely won't give up without a fight.
