Baseball Recap: Mohave Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mohave extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 15 on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-14. They lost 11-1 to the Coconino Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 on Wednesday.

As for Coconino, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-12. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

For Coconino's part, the team relied heavily on Junior Stone, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and one double. Stone is becoming a predictor of the Panthers' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-12 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Jackson Clouse, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mohave will face off against rival Bradshaw Mountain at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Coconino is set to challenge their familiar foe Mingus at 4:00 p.m. on the 10th.
