Volleyball Recap: Ridgeland Starts off Right with Win over Dalton Academy

Ridgeland had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Dalton Academy Pumas. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Pumas recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Ridgeland had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-13, 15-9.

Dalton Academy is on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Ridgeland will take on Gordon Lee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dalton Academy, they will square off against Darlington at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
