League recap: Patrick Henry's Schultz delivers best pitching performance from past week

Eastern league recap: 4/3/13

Eastern's top pitcher this week was Patrick Henry's Andrew Schultz. Over the past week, he had one win and 11 Ks.

David Hensley had the hottest bat in the league this week, racking up a .333 average, two home runs and six RBIs. Meanwhile, the Patriots put together a 3-2 week.

St. Augustine boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

Six batters hit over .400 this week. The group was paced by Aj Gerick, who collected two hits in three at bats for a .667 average.

Stephen Gonsalves led the league with two wins this week for Cathedral Catholic. He has tossed his way to five victories this year, putting him first in the league.



Gonsalves drove in five runners as the Dons defeated Grayson 14-2 on Wednesday. He went 2-for-4 and scored three runs.

Patrick Henry's Alec Blik threw five shutout innings in a 10-0 win over Orange Glen on Saturday. He struck out three, allowing five hits.
